The people in Cuba have become sub-par. And I can tell you this because I am of Cuban parents.

Sixty years of living has caused most people to grow up smaller, and with many health issues caused by malnutrition. Their education is mainly about the party line of that communism is great and that Fidel is a god. If they are smart they learn a profession which makes them available to leave the country as virtual slaves. I know this personally my niece and husband were veterinarians and got rented to Mexico for $2000 a month, and they got paid $500 a month. They managed to escape their handlers and now live free in the US.
